Manic laughing rang out in the expansive underground tunnels, the sounds of chaos growing closer made up of screams of agony, explosions, thuds, and gunshots. The noises came to a still aside from the crumbling of concrete, hissing of pipes, and sounds of broken machinery. A trail of crushed and burnt bodies, scattered survival supplies, lead to a small room labeled “Comms” located at the very end of the complex.
The panicked scientist stood in a locked room filled with computers and radios. Shaking, he stood back to the wall, aiming his unfinished, possibly unstable, makeshift laser cannon towards the thick steel door. Suddenly he heard the fast sound of approaching footsteps when the door exploded open, sending it into an entire wall of devices.
The thing stood at around 6 feet, it certainly had a human body, but pale and incredibly muscular having thick veins pulsating with a glowing fluid. It was covered in machinery familiar to what he had worked with, but much more refined and tuned to the man's body. The machines pumped the thing full of a neon fluid, distributing it throughout its body. It wore a large helmet, with a glass visor displaying a symbol. All of this the man could have determined if this thing had not already pinned him against the wall by the guts, crushing them with one of the two massive hydraulic gauntlets. The man spit out blood as the thing laughed.
“I’m gonna ask you some questions, and every time you don’t answer correctly, I’m going to up the voltage!” The man felt a low tingle being emitted from the gauntlet, muted by the pain of his intestines being crushed.
“Where are the others!?” The thing Barked.
“I don’t kn-” But before he could finish, the thing tightened its grip and sent a jolt through the man. The man convulsed.
“I know you do! So answer the question!” It barked, loosening its grip. Gasping for air, the man groaned.
”There’s a special place in the afterlife-” The thing suddenly screamed and overloaded the man's body with thousands of volts of electricity and threw him to the side. He punched the concrete wall with rage, creating deep cracks.
